Venetian-Inspired Patina | A Piece of Canadian History
A petite statement piece with a wonderfully unexpected story.
Layers of aged turquoise, weathered ivory and antique gold create a beautifully timeworn finish reminiscent of Venetian and Florentine antiques. Its richly distressed surfaces give this little chest an unmistakable sense of history and individuality.
But its most remarkable story is hidden within.
During restoration, we discovered that a previous owner had ingeniously repurposed wooden hockey sticks as the drawer runners. Original SHER-WOOD and ULTRALITE markings remain intact, including a circa-1978 shaft marking.
A delightful piece of Canadian ingenuity concealed within a chest of European-inspired character.
One of a kind. Beautifully unexpected.
Dimensions : 24”wide : 36.5” tall : 13.5” deep
